What was it like for you growing up? We asked seven year old Chandler why she likes being a girl and she responded "...being a girl can be hard and being yourself can be very hard", while eight-year old Michaela says she enjoys being a girl "...because I can vote when I get older and be the President if I want to."

We have been able to accomplish amazing things because of the investment donors such as you continue to make in the girls in our community. Last year:

  • 100% of our girls achieved academic success and were promoted to the next grade level
  • Jana Pea, Girls, Inc. alum and former Girls, Inc. national scholar went to work on Capital Hill.

Because of people like you, we were able to:

  • Provide tutorial assistance to girls who are struggling in core subjects
  • Participate in educational outreach programs on college campuses
  • Empower girls to resist gender sterotypes, instill in them that their voices do matter and that they are valuable

"I have big goals for myself like being a pediatrician" according to eight-grader Mariah, while sixth grader Kaera has the big goal of being "a good soccer player." The girls you support are unique, talented, beautiful, and specials, in their own words.

Over 60% of girls currently enrolled in our program are on scholarship assistance. We need your support so that we may continue to work of inspiring our girls to be strong, smart and bold. The stakes are too high to let even one girl fall through the crack without realizing her potential.
