We are delighted that you have considered joining our efforts to help the girls of our communities become Strong, Smart, and Bold. At Girls Incorporated we strive to provide girls with tools and resources they will need to achieve success in every area of their lives. The success of our efforts depends entirely upon the support of our community, and there could be no more valuable contribution to our work than the gift of your time, energy and caring. Girls Inc. volunteers:
- Assist instructors in providing Girls Inc. nationally-developed curriculum to our members
- Mentor our members through tutoring and homework help programs
- Provide creative supervisory support during the after-school "free-time" period
- Offer administrative assistance in a variety of departments
- Strengthen Girls Inc.'s capacity to meet the needs of girls and young women and inspire all girls to be Strong, Smart, and Bold ™
Girls Inc. of Huntsville has specific needs for volunteers in the following areas:
- Tutors in all academic subjects for our K-8 girls
- Mentors willing to commit 9 months of support to a girl
- Individuals willing to serve as an advisor for Girls Inc. teams for math, science, technology events such as the Lego Robotics, ECybermission, etc.
- Coaches for our sports teams
- Individuals to support our various fundraising projects
